People arrow Collaborators

These individuals collaborate actively with STAML:

Enrico Fonda

Enrico Fonda | Post Doctoral Researcher | Physics | New York University
  • Performing experimental research in cryogenic fluid mechanics, turbulence and heat transfer, with a strong emphasis on flow visualization.
  • Previous areas of research include condensed matter experiments of quantum turbulence in superfluid helium.
  • Received PhD in fluid dynamics from University of Trieste, Italy under supervision of Prof. K.R. Sreenivasan and Prof. D. P. Lathrop in 2012 and M.Sc. in theoretical physics from University of Trieste, Italy in 2007.
Jacob A. McFarland

Jacob A. McFarland (University of Missouri) is an assistant professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. His research is in shock-driven hydrodynamic instabilities and supercritical CO2 heat transfer. His research uses both experiments and simulations to explore these areas.
Katepalli R. Sreenivasan

Katepalli R. Sreenivasan (New York University) is the Executive Vice Provost for Engineering and Applied Sciences, Dean of the Polytechnic School of Engineering, Professor of Physics in the Faculty of Arts and Science, and Professor of Mathematics in the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU. He is a world expert in turbulence, with scientific interests in fluid dynamics and applied physics in a broad sense. His leadership extends to human rights and in promoting science in developing countries.
Jeff Greenough Dr. Jeff Greenough from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories has worked with researchers at STAML on simulations of inclined shocks for different initial interface configurations in the previous summer terms.
